Kim West was born in Washington D.C., and lived much of her childhood overseas before moving to Seattle in 1992. Kim is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she studied International Affairs and Political Science.
After graduating with honors, Kim returned to Seattle where she initially worked as the Campaign Manager of a local political campaign. She then became involved with a small non-profit bioethics organization. In 2011, Kim received a Presidential Law Scholarship to attend Seattle University School of Law. While there, Kim accepted externships for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, as well as the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and served as Executive Editor for the Seattle Journal of Social Justice. In 2014, Kim received her law degree from Seattle University, graduating magna cum laude. Kim joined Mix Sanders Thompson the same year.
Kim enjoys running, cycling, skiing, and writing and playing music with her husband. Kim is licensed to practice in Washington State and the Western District of Washington.
