Elizabeth Troutman joined Mix Sanders Thompson in 2024 as an associate attorney after graduating from Seattle University School of Law.

Prior to law school, Elizabeth attended Florida State University, graduating in 2017 from the College of Business with a degree in Hospitality Management. She discovered her interest in law while summarizing depositions for Friedman Rubin. She later returned to the firm as a law clerk during her first year of law school. In her second year, she gained valuable experience as a Rule 9 legal intern in the Torts Division of the Washington Attorney General’s Office.

While in law school, Elizabeth worked as a research assistant to Professor Deborah Ahrens, contributing to her forthcoming article on clemency. Elizabeth also served as Executive Editor for the Seattle Journal for Social Justice (SJSJ), where her article on “forever chemicals” and toxic tort litigation was selected for publication in the first issue of SJSJ’s 22nd volume. In her final year at Seattle University, she was a quarterfinalist in the 2023 James E. Bond Moot Court Competition and a finalist in the spring 2024 mock trial.

Elizabeth loves to read and has recently been enjoying fantasy and sci-fi books. She also crochets and plays video games.
