Colton Arias joined Mix Sanders Thompson in 2016 as a law clerk. He has argued motions in Pierce and King Counties, including a successful motion for summary judgment dismissing a claim against the City of Des Moines.
Colton attended Eastern Washington University and graduated magna cum laude in 2014. He served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Walla Walla Community College before moving to Seattle where he graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law.
While in law school, Colton was an active member of the Moot Court Board and competed in multiple advocacy competitions. In his third year of law school, Colton enrolled in the Ronald A. Peterson’s Law Clinic at Seattle University and worked in the Community Development and Entrepreneurship Clinic. While serving in the clinic, he provided business and legal assistance to a local entrepreneur involved in manufacturing and selling musical preventative care products and developed an active working relationship with his client.
In his free time, Colton enjoys travelling with his wife, Olivia, playing basketball, and visiting his family in Walla Walla.
