Colton Arias joined Mix Sanders Thompson in 2016 as a law clerk and joined the firm full time as an attorney in 2018 after graduating cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. Since being admitted to practice, he has obtained numerous defense verdicts in both arbitration and jury trial, including the Washington Court of Appeals, Division 1, published opinion in Helmbreck v. McPhee, 15 Wn. App.2d 41 (2020).

Colton's practice focuses on insurance defense, including defending claims for personal injury, construction defect, work-site injury, premises liability, property disputes, and quiet title, among others. He has also successfully negotiated settlements for clients that were harmed by contractors performing defective construction work.

Prior to law school, Colton attended Eastern Washington University and graduated magna cum laude in 2014. Between EWU and law school, he served as an assistant men's basketball coach at Walla Walla Community College.

In his free time, Colton enjoys traveling with his wife, Olivia, golfing, and spending time with his family in Walla Walla.
