Recent Trial Victories

Johnson v. Billings & Town of Steilacoom, Pierce County Superior Court No. 14-2-13145-9 (December 2016)

  • Action involving allegations of intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress against client law enforcement officer (and co-defendant Steilacoom) arising out of arrest and use of force on plaintiff-motorist in the course of a traffic stop.  Plaintiff also alleged wrongful conduct based on subsequent interactions with client. Plaintiff requested $800,000.00 in total damages from the jury.
  • Defense verdict issued following two-week trial.

Segura v. Bravo, King County District Court No. 142-18835 (February 2016)

  •  Personal injury action arising out of a multiple vehicle freeway crash in King County where liability was contested. Plaintiff claimed permanent injuries.
  •  Defense verdict issued following a three-day trial.

Murillo v. Glawson, King County Superior Court No. 14-2-32907-5 KNT (January 2016)

  • Personal injury arising from a two-vehicle collision where liability was contested.  Plaintiff claimed permanent injuries.
  • Defense verdict issued following a three-day trial.

Schoenfeldt v. Schoenfeldt, U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington No. 3:13-cv-05468 – RJB (January 2015)

  • Admiralty/maritime personal injury claim where Plaintiff's right hand was caught in an automated crab pot puller being operated by Defendant, resulting in partial amputation of several fingers. 
  • Defense verdict issued following a three-day trial.
