Brittany Ward is a Seattle-native, graduating with honors from both the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law. She joined Mix Sanders Thompson in 2016.
Before joining the firm, Brittany worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Washington and the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. She also worked as a summer associate for a prominent Seattle-based employment law firm where she provided litigation support for discrimination cases, wage and hour disputes, and contract and tort claims. In her last year of law school, Brittany worked in-house with Group Health, where she drafted internal and external employment and labor policies and participated in negotiating labor contracts.
While in law school Brittany served as a Lead Article Editor on the Law Review, and competed in several negotiation and oral advocacy events. Legal activism has also remained on the forefront of her interests. To that end, she has been involved in reforming Seattle’s human trafficking policies, diverting youths from the criminal justice system, and serving as a member of the Human Rights Law Society.
In her spare time, Brittany reaps the benefits of living in the great Pacific Northwest. She is an avid runner, hiker, and skier, and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two black cats.
